Nero, 54-68. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 35 mm, 26.89 g, 6 h), Lugdunum, circa 65. NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P P Laureate head of Nero to right; globe at point of neck. Rev. ROMA / S - C Roma seated left on cuirass, leaning left on pile of round shields and holding Victory in her right hand and parazonium in her left. BMC 324. Cohen 261. RIC 398. A splendid coin, beautifully patinated and with a bold and attractive portrait. A few uncleaned deposits, otherwise, extremely fine.
